The “Play with a friend” button allows you to play online. Creating a private game session will create a unique link that can be shared with a friend.

There are two players playing against each other on a 3×3 board. The opposing player uses noughts, while the first player uses crosses. It is the first player to align 3 identical symbols (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) that wins.

Play your first X in a corner

This example shows that the player with the Xs will play first in order to force a win. Your X should be placed in a corner square when you are the first to play. A center square won’t be played by your opponent, so you will absolutely win! Place a second X in the center of the board so your opponent cannot block you. Then place your third X adjacent to your first move on one of the border squares. Your opponent will only be able to block one of these moves, giving you a double-winning move. Congratulations on your victory.

When your opponent begins the game by making their first move on an edge at Tic Tac Toe

• It is likely that your opponent will start on the defensive if they are a noob.
• The X should be placed in the center square as soon as possible
• If your opponent responds by placing their second O opposite from their first move (creating an O-X-O), then place your second X in a corner square.
• If your opponent places their third O in order to block your winning move (creating a X-X-O diagonal). Next, place your X into another corner square, thus blocking your opponent and creating a double diagonal. You will be sure to succeed if you do this!
